As the number of cars increases, more money has to be spent on road systems.

Due to the sharp increase in automobile traffic, a significant amount of funding is set aside to repair and maintain the road system. Few people agree that the government should spend money on improvingroads, while many others think that automobile owners should be responsible for paying for these amenities. In my view, the government should be responsible for providing improved road resources as long as they are able to collect adequate tax revenue for overall development.

On the one hand, the government receives enough tax revenue from citizens and companies to upgrade basic services. In exchange, the government must ensure that sufficient road infrastructure is built for traffic and that road safety precautions are upheld to prevent accidents. For instance, potholes are a major issue during the rainy season and, if they are not repaired promptly, they may result in motorbike accidents. Therefore, the money should be set aside for upgrading roadworks as they are a component of infrastructure development that the government funds.

Some road projects, however, called for substantial investments, which the government cannot afford. Because of this, the government obtains a loan from foreign investors or banks, a fair part in order to build efficient highways at a high cost.

However, some big road projects required substantial investments, and sometimes it is not possible for the government to complete such projects, So they signup big investors and took loans to build those roads and after the roadwork is finished, the loan amount is paid back by charging a toll to the public. For instance, the Punjab road development authority built the highway to reduce travel time and distance, from Ludhiana to Ferozepur but because of the project's high costs, users must pay 120 rupees for every journey, Therefore, everyone must give their fair part in order to build efficient highways at a high cost.

In my opinion, the government can handle the duty to enhance road service provided there is coordinated planning and sufficient funding obtained through tariffs. In order to make up for losses, they might also impose severe fines for breaching the law or causing property damage.
